V.VIII.MMXIII - Ongoing!
Most people know me as Noir but my real name is Claire.
I've been inactive for some time but it's for a good reason, I currently work and recently bought a tablet. I've been practicing digital nearly everyday, I hope I can improve before uploading my art here. Please understand that due to this, I'm not going to be gone forever. I'm currently working on a graphic novel based on my life and how I manage with depression. There are SOME sneak-peeks of the characters in my gallery to prevent people claiming these characters as their own, but nothing will be released until it is finished!
Everything worthwhile in life is won through surmounting the associated negative experience. Any attempt to escape the negative, to avoid it or quash it or to silence it, only backfires. The avoidance of suffering is a form of suffering. The avoidance of a struggle is a struggle. The denial of failure is a failure. Hiding what is shameful is itself a form of shame.
Pain is an inextricable thread in the fabric of life, and to tear it out is not only impossible, but destructive: attempting to tear it out unravels everything else with it. To try to avoid pain is to give too many fucks about pain. In contrast, if you’re able to not give a fuck about the pain, address it and take the important steps to fixing it, relentlessly, you become unstoppable.

DON'T compare my characters to other characters (canons, ocs, etc.) and expect me to be nice to you in return. It's not flattering, it's insulting my creativity.
When you connect to the silence within you,
that is when you can make sense of the disturbance going on around you.
This life we're living, this world we inhabit, is a scary place. If we peer over the side of a narrow bridge, we can loose our heart to continue. We freeze up. We sit down. So too with life. If we think too much about the journey we have to make, the one that begins with the trauma of birth and ends with the tragedy of death, the one that is so perilous and unpredictable, we'll never make it.
The important thing is that we are not afraid. That we silence our fears. That we don't overthink things. That we don't give way to the cancerous fear. Just repeat it to yourself, the world is a narrow bridge and I will not be afraid, and keep going. Like the thousands of generations who have came before us.
The light will shine through. Keep going.
